I'm on holidays! Again! This is probably my last post before I head down south. I plan on doing another sessionsixty while I'm there.
I'm finding it a bit hard to believe that it's nearly October already. This year has just flown by!
I have eaten chocolate every day since my birthday...and there's STILL more to get through.

A Tad Late...But Here It Is: SessionSixty

This post is in resopnse to Tony's challenge on El Rancho Relaxo.
The challenge was to take 24 photo's, in 60 minutes, black and white, iso 400 with no preview.
I headed over to the vacant block over the road. Every shot is of objects as I found them.
Now my camera does not appear to have a black and white function, which is kind of weird. What I did was desaturate and then auto contrasted them, which is what my camera would have done...if it did.

Chocolate and Holidays
Well I'm slowly working my way through the mountain of chocolate I received for my birthday. Good thing I really like chocolate.
Only a week and a half till holidays. Yay!
Jane and I are going down to Margaret River for five days. I've never been, so it will be a new and exciting experience for me. We're staying on a 64 acre property. I hope to venture into the bush for some alone time. I'm pretty sure we'll be out and about most days though.
Is there anything I MUST see/do while I'm there?

Friends!
| View | Add FavoriteI had SO much fun last night. We went and saw Nacho Libre...totally awesome movie...we laughed all the way through. Jack Black has no shame.
The photo booth near the cinema showed as having some massive amount of credit so we took the opportunity to get some pics.
I love my friends, they make my life so much richer.

Dunno
Been a while since I've posted. Nothing much has been happening.
Clare posted this quote on her blog
"Repentance is being sorry enough to quit." - Joy Dawson (YWAM)
I thought I'd share my thoughts on the matter.
To repent is "to feel such sorrow for sin or fault as to be disposed to change one's life for the better". (Dictionary.com)
I think as christians we often think that repentance is going to God and saying sorry when we sin, but that's only part of it. We've heard it preached before that to repent is to make a 180 degree turn - to turn from our sin and back towards God. As I see it, when we turn back to our sin again we are undoing our repentance. It is only truly repentance when we stay moving in the right direction.
We need to remember that our sin is already paid for. Sin as much or as little as you like, it's covered by the blood of Christ. As Paul said in 1 Corinthians 6 "Everything is permissible for me - but not everything is beneficial". The reason God tells us not to sin is because it enslaves us. Christ came to give us freedom, when we sin, we choose to go back into slavery. God wants the best for us, He wants us to be free.
When you truly repent you are saying to God "I'm sorry I have settled for less than you have for me. I choose the life you want for me, because I know it is the best there is. I know I want that sin, but I want you more."
We are human, and we do fall. If we didn't we wouldn't need a saviour. The aim for me is to spend increasingly more time turned towards God, and increasingly less time indulging in sin. It's something you work at, one step at a time.

The Weekend

My family and I went down to Dunsborough for Erin and Casper's wedding on the weekend. It was a great wedding. Totally non traditional and totally beautiful. The weather was absolutely perfect which is a miracle this time of year. They ended the ceremony by planting a tree. I like trees.
Andrew had a beer on Saturday night and check out his beer belly! Hehe.
