How'd They Manage That?

I don't know how it happened...but it seemed as though the clouds were being blown in all different directions from the same source. I was amazed anyway.

Isaiah 12

In that day you will say:
"I will praise you, O LORD.
Although you were angry with me,
your anger has turned away
and you have comforted me.

Surely God is my salvation;
I will trust and not be afraid.
The LORD, the LORD, is my strength and my song;
he has become my salvation."

With joy you will draw water
from the wells of salvation.

In that day you will say:
"Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name;
make known among the nations what he has done,
and proclaim that his name is exalted.

Sing to the LORD, for he has done glorious things;
let this be known to all the world.

Shout aloud and sing for joy, people of Zion,
for great is the Holy One of
Israel among you."

Listen

I've been listening to Brooke Fraser's new album "Albertine". It has moved me more than anything I've listened to in recent times. I'm finding myself both inspired and very challenged by the real-ness of her lyrics. It's making me want to be a better person, a better musician, a better songwriter.
If you're looking for some cheezy pop album to make you feel all warm and fuzzy then this is certainly not the album for you.

WOW!

The sunsets these last couple of weeks have been AMAZING!

I wish I had a giant tower I could shoot up each night to get an even better view.

It Rocked!

Wednesday and Thursday of this week a whole heap of the Youth Worship Team members (including me) held music workshops for some of the youth kids. It was awesome. We had SO much fun, it was really great getting to hang out with kids, teach them stuff and hear them playing as a band. We had five guitarists! I hope that it's just the beginning of that kind of thing happening within the youth ministry. I love seeing kids get involved and having a go at something new. I'm totally stoked at the way it all worked out. BIG BIG thanks to all my team members who made this thing happen. It was an absolute honour to do this with you.

Like A Sunset

Got my hair done this week. LOTS OF FUN!

It was Dave Ryder's last week involved in a lot of things this week. No more Youth, no more YA Cell and no more Worship Team. He has been such an amazing person to do ministry with over these last seven or so years.

Dave, I'm going to miss you. It's been good, but God has better...

Developments

Looks like I'll be moving south of the river at the end of January, as I'll be starting work at Midland Brick Jandakot and Myaree. I'll always be a Northy at heart though. Now I just need to find some super cool person/people to live with.

What would life be without chocolate?
