Brother Lovin'

Now we all know that Adam and Andrew are both posers...but is this taking things a little too far?
Nah.
Thanks boys for the laughs.

My Hands

How amazing are hands!?

That's white spray paint on mine there, from making some giant cardboard scissors for The Shed.

I know if you look at them for a long time they just look freaky...but have a look at yours now. They really are amazing. I am very thankful that I have hands, without them I couldn't do most of what I do.

Hands are unique. No-one else has my hands, they're mine. I believe that just as our hands are all unique so is what we are called to do with them. My hands may be similar to someone elses, but they're not the same...in the same way my gifts and talents are similar to some other people's, but they're not the same. Make the most of your hands...they're really cool...and they're yours.

We're all different, all amazing...and I like it that way.

Sunshine And Duckies

Andrew, Sarah and I went to the foreshore for a bit yesterday afternoon before soundcheck for some chillin. The weather was great. We went and talked to some ducks. We caught a jellyfish. It was very relaxing. Check out the back of that icecream truck!

The Youth Worship Team played pretty well at church last night, I hope we worshiped better than we played. It was a pretty big honour to lead a packed house in the worship of our God. I was almost busting with excitement when I heard the congregation belting our "Saviour of the World". These are exciting times we're entering as a worship team.

What Are You Doing Here?

The Polly Pipe was closed tonight for cleaning so Andrew and I decided to go to HJ's for a bit seeing as we were driving past to get home. Here are some pics.

Things you should know:
1. B.D. is not impressed with Clare...or Sarah.
2. Something was quite funny to B.D. but only vaguely amusing to Clare.
3. Adam thinks cups are chew toys.
4. B.D. is so massive and I am so midget that his basketball singlet looks like a very ugly dress on me.
5. Andrew is still a poser.
6. Sarah's eyeballs have disappeared inside her frustration.

Ho Hum

I scored some extra work tomorrow which is cool. I'm filling in for one of the teachers who had to take personal leave or whatever it's called. Being a fill-in is just like being a relief teacher at a school, you don't have to teach them much, just supervise and help them out a bit. Way better than normal work. Normal work was pretty good today though so I wouldn't mind even if it was.

Yeah other than that I don't have a lot to report on, life's pretty average at the moment. Average is a good thing...it's a lot better than bad.

The weather was really nice this afternoon, It was all warm and sunny. I enjoyed it.

A little illusion right about now could be nice...

Peace

I had a pretty "interesting" night last night. It started pretty normal. I was tired coz I got up at 7:15am to go to a family brekky. I was feeling pretty happy though. Paul spoke a great (and challenging) message based on 1 Corinthians 13 and illustrated by 50 First Dates which is one of my fave movies.

After church things turned bad almost in an instant and I found myself very anxious and angry about what was going on. It's times like those when I think it would be very easy to just run away from everything.
Thank God for Sarah and Clare! Had they not been there I think I probably would have driven east until I ran out of petrol (Leaving Andrew and Samn stranded where they were). We went to Leo's and I forced myself to eat dinner.

When I got home I went into my room still very caught up in the events of the night...and the events that have preceded them in the last few weeks. God is good though. He soon reminded me that He is bigger than anything this world can dish out, and that He makes all things work together for the good of those who love Him.
Peace flowed through me. I still had to work to not let myself get anxious again, but peace stayed and I had a really good, long sleep. God is wonderful.

Philippians 4:6-7

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

annettetheunsociable

I am bushed. I'm going to stay home tonight...it feels pretty weird...staying home on a Saturday night.

The weeks are just flying by. It only seems like a couple of days between Saturdays. Life is zooming by...

Does Anybody Know?

I have this song in my head...I'd like to know if anyone knows where it's from (and no Andrew you can not answer this question).

Little sister, little sister you came into my life like a twister.
What can I get you that you haven't taken?
What can I get you that hasn't been killed by corruption and greed?
What can I get you that isn't tie-dyed or like what you already have, or plastic or not alive or so sad?

Does anybody know, does anybody know why we're here?
Does anybody know, does anybody know why we're here?
Does anybody know, does any-body know why we're here?

Happy Birthday Parentals

My parents both had their 50th birthdays this week. To celebrate tonight our family went to Sizzler coz we're so classy...as you can see from the photos. I chucked in Andrew's "MySpace" pose...what a loser.

The Last Few Days And Now And Tonight

Praying at The Furnace was really good. You should go...

It was the first Youth night for term 2 last night. It ran pretty well. I was very tired at the end.

Work today was pretty good coz I got to have a couple of breaks rather than working straight through. I'm kinda tired but am very much in the mood to party (I mean watch other people party).

Tonight I'm heading out for dinner...steak...at Hog's Breath...with my best buddy Jane...for her birthday. After that I'm planning on heading to Corina's house party...will make it hopefully. I really want to go.

More Spider

This spider was in the garden today. I think it looks a bit like a bee hive.

Work was good. My new students are cool.

Tomorrow I'm going with Jess and Sarah to this 24hr prayer place near Koorong. I've heard good things about it so I'm pretty excited about going.

Get Back To Work!

My holidays are over as of tomorrow. I'm heading back to work. It's going to be good I think. I really hope I make good use of this term. The "plan" is to get myself back to doing at least four hours of practice a day, five days a week. I think it's time for me to get back to basics.

The Sun Was Out

The sun was very shiningy today. I didn't spend much time outside but it was nice. This spider was in my garden so I took its photo.

I've done some lesson stuff, which is good. I still have a fair bit more to do but I think it's going to be OK.

Just a little update for you all, I'm not doing Roadshow this term. I may be teaching more and really need to do more practice.
