Thursday was a pretty big day for me. I had my hair done, turns out I am a girl after all. Don’t worry, I balanced it out by changing the brake pads on Justin’s car when I got home. I had a really good day, and finished up exhausted.

Woke up really early Friday morning with a fever and really bad headache, so I took some drugs and went back to sleep until noon. Youth was a blur…a good blur…but still a blur.

Today I taught until 4:00 and my body was very not happy Jan. I’m so over being sick.

Thinking Of You Friends

I've had this song going in my head for a few days. The thing I love the most about it is that it communicates my heart for a few people that I love. People who fight hard and feel like they're not really getting anywhere. People who have been discouraged and wearied by the journey. Some of them will know who they are, others will have no clue. I remember them though, I see the amazing things God has for them.

The beautiful thing about this song is that God says these things over us. He believes in you. He dreams for you. He sees past the "right now" to the victory that is to come. He promises that what we sow in tears we will reap in joy. We may be weak, but he chooses us anyway, because in our weakness His strength comes into perfection. God is awesome.

"I Believe In You" - Bethany Dillon

When there's nothing to believe in, I believe in you

Forget the past and let my hand in yours be the proof

Though the strong could be my company, you're the one I choose

So remember, I believe in you

I know it feels like every eye is watching you

Waiting for you to fall, expecting you to lose

But I see the victory, so all you have to do

Is remember, I believe in you

I believe, even when I see you crying

I believe, let me dream for you

When nothing comes from trying

Remember, I believe in you

There will come a day when love will lift you out of here

There will come a day when love will bring the truth

There will come a day when love will free you from your fear

And you'll remember, I believe in you

I believe, even when I see you crying
I believe, let me dream for you

When nothing comes from trying

Remember, I believe in you

My Cat Has A Boo Boo

The cat got whacked with the fly screen door and his leg got ripped up and bled and stuff. He's OK, but sore.

Staying inside for three days straight is so boring. I don't know how I used do do it. I'm going out tonight so that'll be good. No more TV for me.

I really like Yoshi. Aaaaahhh, the fun filled days of N64.

Make Up Your Mind

It seems that my body can't decide if it's sick or not. I'm gonna rest up for the next few days and hopefully it will decide to be healthy. I'm getting sleepy again.

On another note...

I don't know how you feel about the combination of mint and chocolate, but I for one love it. I'm currently loving Dove Peppermint Affair. It is fantastic. Crispy peppermint bits and peppermint creme all coated in chocolate (OK so maybe I'm getting a little too excited).

On another note...

I have Foxtel. Fox 8 are currently running a Simpsons Marathon. I think I have watched about 15 episodes in the last three days-ish. There is nothing else on worth watching. I think it's more TV than I've watched all year.

On another note...

I have nothing further to say.

Fully Sick Mate

Well actually only half sick. I thought/felt like I was going to be fully sick, but it doesn't seem too bad at all. I'll spare you the details, but getting stressed and run down is a bad way to keep healthy. My Mum gave me an American Fudge Brownie for breakfast today...it was good...not really "I'm sick breakfast food" though. I nearly feel OK after my 15 hour sleep.

Thankyou to anyone who happened to be praying for me. Also thanks to Ann for bringing me out of the cold and feeding me last night, and Yellow for giving me the purple blanket and amusing me, and Bunnie...what can I say? I love you all.

I Love Frogs

Awwww...isn't they cute! Frogs are one of my favourite animals. I would keep one in a terrarium if I didn't have to clean it or catch bugs to feed it.

Back To The Source

Life is good...and hard...at the same time. I have my moments of ecstacy...and my moments of heartache.

This week was a particularly hard one. So much of me does not know what I'm doing, or where I'm going, or how I'm going to get there. What I do know is that no matter what...God is there, I may not always feel Him, but it doesn't mean He's not there. It's been amazing this week to see my heart journey from self-centred pain to pure Christ-centred joy at the reminder that I am safe in the arms of The One who leads me in this life. It didn't happen in an instant, but over a period of days, as I let His presence wash over me I was slowly restored back to peace.
He will not take me anywhere that is not ultimately for my best, it's His very best. So if I can't see where I'm going, why argue with the only one who can see?
It's most likely that I will at some stage again freak out at stuff, but I know He'll be there to remind me that He's in control...even if he has to break me down to do it.
It may hurt a lot, but it's so worth it.

New Music : )

Today I sprayed a footy banner type thing for "The Gap", turns out I can sort of do it which is cool. Then the crew ran through it and destroyed it, which was the point...but still. I have no photos.
Kelly bought me the new United album which was a beautiful surprise. I'm listening to it now, the worship stuff is pretty amazing. Brooke Fraser does a song on it and so far it's in my top 3.The album is VERY U2y, cool, not particularly original though. I still really like it. I'll watch the DVD when I can handle crying.

The Super Exciting Adventures of Nippy: Part Two...

Well, the day you've been waiting for has finally arrived (Sorry it took a while but it took a little longer than expected for me to regain custody : P ) Here is Part Two of The Super Exciting Adventures of Nippy!
Please note: Nippy is Sun Smart, as am I.
This afternoon I took Nippy to an undisclosed location. We went for a boat ride. Then went and relaxed for a bit to recover from the excitement. After that we climbed a tree, then we played hide and seek. We ran into a tree when we were out on the lake, scary stuff. It was super exciting.

In Da City

Yesterday we went filming again, just as I said we would. Andrew came and joined us and Justin tagged along for a little bit. We stuck a sticker on an emo who agreed to be in our video, and then he changed his mind. Soooo emo.
Andrew took a photo of me, I was very unimpressed, that's the pic up the top. That's what I look like when I'm not impressed.

And ACTION...

Today we went out shooting the opener for the Roadshow segment "The Gap" formerly known as "The Dump". We had "The Gap" stickers made up and went and stuck them on random stuff. Today we went to King's Park. On Thursday we'll be doing it in the city, feel free to come and join the craziness. It was hot today but still fun.

Can you tell which one of these is me?

Yesterday it was nearly 38 degrees outside, and I was inside with long pants and a jacket on. I was cold.

We went to Caitlin's 18th last night. I am short.
The evaporative air conditioning made the crisps soggy, which is funny, I didn't have any but Mr. P told me and I was like "he he, that's funny".

Nippy is coming to church tonight...

Phonecalls

I think I made more phone calls today than I've made in the last year. Maybe not quite. We were phoning schools to ask them if they'd received the Roadshow Promo DVD and stuff. It was riveting. Meg and Grace are funny : P

I'm looking forward to Youth tomorrow night. Friday is still the best day of the week.

I'm going to try VERY hard to go to bed early tonight. I keep saying that and then still getting to bed after midnight. I really do mean it tonight though.
We'll see how I go...

Have A Rest

After thinking for a little bit I realised that my Sabbath Day (Day of rest) had vanished. This is bad. So I have decided that Mondays will be my rest day. On Mondays I will not do anything that resembles work.
Now, I actually find it quite hard to just rest, so feel free to ask me if I have remembered to do nothing on Mondays.

I had an amazing time worshipping today, I had the whole house to myself for a few hours. I pulled out my guitar, ended up writing a song. It wasn't work though, I just had to let stuff out. I love God.

That childrens book I read on Thursday...I bought it today.

Who's A Rockstar?

Josie and the Pussycats is the best movie ever.

So last night I was having a full on stress out about teaching today. I was like "What am I thinking? I can't teach" it's times like those when I just have to tell myself to shut up. So this morning on my way to work I asked the Holy Spirit to help me out, coz I can't do it in my own strength. Things went fine, everything ran smoothly, I taught everyone something.
God is good to me, and I'm very grateful.

I'm playing at The Place tomorrow morning, think I might invite Him along.

Play Day

Today I went out for lunch with Janey, then we went and played with toys at Target and read a childrens book at the ABC Shop. It was fun.
Then I came home and recorded a song.
That was today.

Memory's Not What It Used To Be

What did I used to do before I was a blogger? I know I spent my spare time doing something. Maybe I just watched TV, which I hardly ever do now. Nup, really can't remember.
I went for a walk tonight. I haven't been in two weeks, and I was really starting to feel it. Just over 7km, or an hour and 20mins. It was good to get out again.

Andrew's back on the drug that is FPS gaming. Sad :(

Home Is Good

Well I was only away for one night, but it felt like ages. Karlee, Jess and I performed at a charity concert down in Busso as a support act for The Idea Of North (butt kicking a cappella group). We played pretty good. People liked us. They wanted to buy Karlee's CD (which is non-existent).
What I enjoyed most about the experience was that my love for worship, my desire to worship went from being a campfire to a big bonfire. I mean I always love worshipping, but what I see is that there is no better music for me to play than the music I play to my King. That was very evident to me this weekend. Sure, it's great to minister to people, and I get a bit of a kick out of it, but my heart is to worship. It's kind of hard to explain. It's just how I'm wired up.
It was good to come home, to Riverview, and to do what I burn with passion for.

P.S. Congratulations to The Bullet Holes for winning the Gozzy Rock band comp.

Go To This

The Bullet Holes (Owen's band) are in the band comp. Rock up and support them!

Is He Sick?

I think something's wrong with Andrew...His computer is still down in the lounge room. Andrew has not been gaming since Saturday.
So, is he sick? Are his fingers all broken? Did his eyes fall out?
No. Andrew has been working full time at Maccas, and then going and working for my Aunty and Uncle. He's been working ten or eleven hour days or something. Maybe he decided he isn't that interested in playing at the moment.
I must say that I for one am very impressed. Kudos to Andrew.

Chillin'

We had Andrew's Birthday Bash today and in true Binksie style we did nothing much at all. By nothing I mean we lounged around and just chilled, which is pretty much the purpose of my house in general. This is about as exciting as things got.

For Sarah, Love Annette.

You want photos of us on here? Ask and you shall receive my friend!
Sarah Ong is the bomb. Just thought I'd tell you, you know, for those of you who haven't met her so you don't know, coz if you've met her then you already know. If I posted about her I would go on forever and you'd be like "Annette, please stop, we get it, Sarah is very cool" so I shall therefore stop right now.

When this bottom photo was taken I was leaning very uncomfortably on an esky handle. Can you see the pain in my eyes?

Friday, February 10, 2006

Mmmm...

S'pose I should stick something on here. I feel a bit boring. Sorry everyone.

Things Are Lookin' Good

Well I have enough students to be able to leave TAFE : ) I'll stick around for a couple of weeks till I start at Mega on Saturdays, then I'm gone. This means I can put a more acceptable amount of practice in, as well as doing some other random stuff.
I'm feelin' pretty happy.

Crusty

Well my little brudda is 21 today, he has joined the club of old crustys.
Happy Birthday Mandrew.

First Day Back

It was my first day back at TAFE today, I had forgotten how incredibly boring it is. We'll see how long I can stay without going nuts. I'm kinda hoping that teaching at Mega turns into four days a week instead of two, in which case I will quit TAFE. After TAFE today I went and had a rehearsal with Karlee and Jess (and Gabe), it was hot and sticky, but we managed to get through a fair amount of material.
It's been thundering and lighteninging outside and I like it.

Attention All Bloggers:

Maybe it's just me, but it seems like only the elranchans are updating their blog regularly. Perhaps I have too much time on my hands, perhaps I'm just pathetic, but I miss the updates. What IS going on?

Youth...

The first night of Youth for the year went off without a hitch (as far as I know). I liked the atmosphere-it was really cool. The jam room has some pretty talented people in it, I'm looking forward to seeing what comes of it and also getting the quieter people out of their shells a little. Paul spoke really well, honest and to the point, challenging and encouraging. Yup, it was a really good start to the year.

When I got home Puss decided to read the comments on my blog. This behaviour is somewhat unusual for him.

New Job...Thank God.

Finally, I can leave the pit of despair that is Beldon McDonald's.
I got a phone call today from Mega Music's Music Academy asking me to come and fill in for one of their teachers who was away this afternoon, and I was then offered a position teaching on Wednesdays and Saturdays. So now, I have a new job... which does not require me to start work at midnight. Sweet relief...
On top of that, I got to hang out with two Sarahs in one day (at separate times). Score. This day gets two thumbs up from me.

The Super Exciting Adventures Of Nipple Ball. Part 1.

And thus begins a new and exciting segment on this here blog. The Super Exciting Adventures Of Nipple Ball. I share this ball with SOng, and my theory is that if I take it to lots of exciting places it will love me more than her and be like "Awww, do I have to go with Sarah?" (but not really). For part one of this exciting new series I took Nipple Ball to see Delirious, Nippy, as the ball shall now be affectionately known, had a wonderful time. We waited in line for an hour an a half (which was exciting in itself), then listened to Mark Cullen and Band followed by the highly satisfactory Delirious. Overall, we had a Super Exciting time together. Thanks to SergAKATony of elranchorelaxo for documenting our adventure.

I wonder what our next adventure will be...
